We build more than houses.
We build homes.
Homes for children. Homes
for our community.
We build dreams.
When
Habitat families move from poverty housing into their own homes,
they report better health, increased stability in the family, and
children who
do better in school. There is well-documented improvement in civic
involvement that accompanies movement from rental to ownership.
This is good for all of us.
Habitat
for Humanity is not a give away program. Houses are sold to Homeowner
Partners without profit, using zero interest mortgages. Homeowners
also complete sweat equity hours on their house and other Habitat
houses.
But
we also need your help in order to make building dreams a reality.
From picking up a hammer to donating
funds or much needed materials, there are many ways in which you
can support Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity's efforts. We invite
you to explore our web site to learn more about us and how you can
make a difference. Please contact us
if you have any questions or need more information.
