Help build a home

Your financial gifts fund crucial elements of building a home, such as purchasing land, lumber, materials, and financing.

From one-time or ongoing financial contributions, legacy gifts, and qualified charitable distribution from an IRA, to donating appreciated assets for our next build, there are many ways to support mission of Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity.

Donate Services, Materials, or Land

Donate skilled labor, construction materials (such as nails, shingles, or siding), or suitable build sites in and around Holland, Zeeland, Hudsonville, and South Haven.

We assist in the transaction, so there's no cost to the donor, and there are typically significant tax benefits. This helps us keep costs down so we can build and repair more homes.

One very helpful way you can assist Lakeshore Habitat in reducing costs of our builds is through a donation of suitable build sites. We are always looking for safe, decent, and appropriate places for our families. A donation may be a partial or total donation. There are typically significant tax benefits for the donor.

We can assist in the transaction at no cost to the donor. Lakeshore Habitat will work with the title company to ensure it is done correctly.

The following are possible options:

  • vacant build sites suitable for new home construction;

  • in-fill build sites where homes have been removed;

  • vacant homes in need of restoration;

  • or multiple build sites adjacent to each other.

We are looking for these types of properties in and around Holland, Zeeland, Hudsonville, and South Haven. Please contact our team to explore the donation of services, materials, or land.
